April 2010 - Aegis Solutions completed a controls and SCADA upgrade of Waste Management's Sequencing Batch Reactor at their Mountain View Reclamation Facility.  Leachate from the landfill is collected by the SBR System and processed.  The processed effluent from the system is discharged to local municipalities for further treatment and returned to the local water supply.  The SBR System helps Waste Management conform to local, state, and federal requirements an keep the local environment clean.

The upgrades were part of Waste Management's addition of a 1,000,000 gallon tank and a 500,000 gallon tank to the existing SBR System in order to increase its holding capacity.  Included in the upgrade were instrumentation sets for each tank, mixers, aerators, and pumps.

Aegis Solutions designed, built and deployed a new control panel to provide interfaces to the new pumps, aerators, mixers, DO meters, ORP meters, temperature probes, pH meters, and level sensors.  We also made major updates and additions to the SCADA software for the SBR System to provide the plant operator with semi-automated and manual control of the new equipment.
