April 2011 - On April 16, a band of severe storms swept though central and eastern North Carolina spawning tornadoes, which caused fatalities and hundreds of millions of dollars worth of damage to homes and businesses.  We were quite fortunate that no one on the Aegis Team was injured or incurred any significant damage to our homes.  Many others in Raleigh, were not as fortunate.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who were affected by the storms.

In 2006, we moved our facilities from Yonkers Road to our present location.  The development that previously housed our offices and shop facility was severely damaged by a direct hit from a tornado.  Seeing the site in-person, it looked as if a bomb had been dropped on the building.  Below are some pictures of the damage to that facility.

In this last picture, Aegis Solutions was previously located in the 2nd section from the left.  What none of these pictures show, because we were not allowed to go behind the building, is that the back of the building is gone and the roof has been peeled completely away.  We wish all of our previous neighbors a speedy recovery from the damage to their businesses.
